下記は、Chris Parkinson（WTC Executive Secretary）, Pete Ellis (WTC President), Graham Hanna (WTC Chief Measurer)からWorld Tasar Councilメンバーに出されたメールです。メンバーである会長の許可を得て、ここに紹介します。
内容は、「ワンデザイン原則：テーザー艤装パーツの統一」についてです。
以下、要約です。

（１）「ワンデザイン原則」を再び確立するために、Bethwaite Designと一緒に作業をしています。
（２）このたび、テーザー級のいくつかの艤装パーツについては、それぞれ単一の会社から供給されるものに限られることとなりました。現在の提案では、2010年11月1日に発効する予定です。（訳注：パーツおよび供給会社については、下記メール本文7行から18行までをご参照ください。）
（３）価格についてはどの国で買っても同一とし、ワンデザイン原則が崩れないようにします。
（４）これらの艤装パーツについては販売代理店に常に在庫があるようにします。
（５）テーザー所有者に迷惑がかからないようにこの変更は段階的に進めることとしたい。そして、妥当な期間内に完全に移行していきたい。
（６）段階的な移行のためには、たとえば、世界選手権などでの上位のボートから艤装の変更を義務付けていくというようなことではどうでしょうか。あるいは、各地域では独自に方法で変更を進めていってもよい。
（７）皆さんの協力でぜひこのようなワンデザイン原則を再確立していきたい。ご質問やご意見があればお答えします。
（８）協力してくれるか否かについて、2010年9月30日までに知らせてほしい。


Our work with Tasar Designer Frank Bethwaite and Bethwaite Design aimed at re-establishing the One Design Principle within the Tasar class continues. We have now finalised the list of Tasar specific fittings, final supply details are currently being sorted by Bethwaite Designs.

The following fittings - and their origin, will become the standard issue from all Tasar dealers with effect from an implementation date of 1st November 2010 (proposed). From this date the following Tasar specific fittings are the only ones that will be supplied by all Tasar 'builders/agents'.

Whisker Pole Ring from West Coast Sailing (USA)

The supplier of the parts may change based on commercial circumstances.

The general pricing principle will be that each fitting will cost the same in one country as it does in any other, thus removing the need for Tasar owners to shop in different countries for 'the bestavailable fitting' - a practice which is corrosive to our One Design Principle and disrupts local dealer supply arrangements.For example, West Coast Sailing will supply the Whisker Pole fitting to builders/agents around the World. If it sells for $US35 in the America, it should sell for the equivalent $AUD price in Australia.
And so on...

Bethwaite Design are currently organising for supplies of all the fittings to be stocked by each Tasar builder/agent. We propose to introduce this change to the Class via a stepped processthus ensuring full implementation over a realistic time frame with the least amount of upset to Tasar owners.

As an enabler we propose the change be introduced with the following driver - "to be eligible to score a top ten placing in the 2013 Tasar Worlds or the top twenty five placing in the 2015 Tasar Worlds competitors must use these fittings on their boats". This would also apply to the winning boat AND the runner up in any of the other trophy categories - Master, Grand Masters, Super Grand Masters, Junior Helm, First Lady Helm, etc, etc at the same events. This will force acceptance and flow-through to all of the fleet. Within this framework though, each Region would be free to introduce and drive their own timetable.

We seek your support in introducing this next important phase of the re-establishing the one design principle and are happy to respond to any questions or comments you might have. Please indicate your support or otherwise by 30th September 2010.

Next step would be to confirm the Date Effective - proposed 1st November, then announce the program to the broader Tasar Community.
