Don’t miss out this is an experience of a life time!
By Nathan Batchelor and Pete Ellis

GBR 2642 & AUSPete Ellis & Charlotte Ellis Birbeck
"These guys are taking this event seriously; rumourhas it they emigrated just for the sake of trainingfor this one regatta. Pete, being an ex-resident ofTorquay does know all the finest nightlifeestablishments in Torquay. Will this temptationultimately lead him astray or will Charlotte keephim on the straight and narrow…

GBR 2628 Malcolm & Fiona Davies
#Firm favorites, having been UK NationalChampions for previous 3 years. Malcolm knowswhat it takes to win at this level having won the19xx Fireball National Championships. Now he’sracing with his wife, and on the tricky waters ofthe Torbay which he knows like the back of hishand…

GBR 2909 Howard Astley-Jones & Barney Proud
Regular Tasar sailors and 2010 Inland Champions; they are always one of the fasterboats in the fleet, and have now upgraded to abrand new boat from Signal locker so they’ve gotthe potential. Based inland, how much sea sailinghave this pair done? What will a windy Easterlydish up?

GBR 2816 Neil Spacagna & Chris Martin
Local sailors with plenty of experience being oneof the few UK sailors with international Tasarexperience. Neil is a past UK National Championand racing in familiar waters, a dark horseperhaps…

GBR 735 Tim & Mayumi Knight
One of the most internationally experienced Tasarcrews in the UK, Tim & Mayumi are welltravelled and well known throughout the international Tasar circuit. Tim has been traininghard, even competing in Laser regattas as practice! A master of refurbishing old boats, what will he beusing…
※今回も日本チームがお世話になります。

GBR 659 Nathan Batchelor & James Clark
The pretty crew has left the boat, replaced byanother prematurely thinning youngster. Despiteboth being ex 470 Olympic squad sailors, these 2are both out of dinghy sailing practice and need tolose some weight…

GBR 287 Sam & Megan Pascoe
Another Tasar event, another crew for SamPascoe! This time his sister has been drafted in,lighter than previous crews and certainly noslouch, currently vying for a place in the 2012Paralympics aiming for the fiercely contest 2.4mslot. She’s spent as much time on the water thisyear as the rest of us put together, in such exotic venues as New Zealand, Miama and Athens. But will theyspend enough time in the boat…

GBR 431 Steve & Sara Cockerill
Well this man needs no introduction having been previous Laser Radial World Champion and coach to a number of Olympic sailors, as well as being the founder of the successful Rooster Sailing. With other sailing commitments will they getto spend enough time in the Tasar before the World Championships start… (& now UK Inland champions…)

AUS Paul & Bronwyn Ridgeway
These guys are regular top of the fleet sailors down under. They did a 2010 recce of the Torquay, gave us a thorough‘shoeing’ and walked away with the 2010 UK openchampionship. They have the Aussie experience of regularbig fleet Tasar racing, and primed for the tough racing that’sgoing to occur…

AUS 2848 Rob and Nicole Douglas
The team to beat. 2005 and 2009 World Champions.Winners of the past 2 Australian National Championships. This team have been at the top of the game for the past 6 years and are the boat that everyone is aiming to beat.Beaten at the recent New South Wales States, expect them totrain hard and bring a very professional approach to theevent.

Aus 2857 Craig Mcphee and Gill Berry
Craig won his first Australian Nationals back in 2000 and hasbeen winning Nationals ever since. No one has won moreNationals than he has, and at the NSW States he and Gill showed some of the old magic. A definite contender with ahuge amount of boat speed.

AUS 2874 Neville Whitty and JC
A representative for Australia at the 2000 Olympics who isnow starting to establish himself as a force to be reckonedwith in the fleet. Never shy of a bit of boat on boatconfrontation on the racecourse, he also has a real talent forgrinding out results.

Rick Longbottom
Winner of the worlds back in 1986 at Queen Mary SailingClub, Rick has found his speed again. Popular winner of therecent New South Wales States, he can sail smart and fast. Not yet an official entry but rumour has it he will be usingone of the ADFSA entries.

Connor Byrne
A bit of a dark horse for the regatta. Past Laser 2 WorldChampion and top team racer has just purchased a boat inDarwin and is getting in some practice whilst the rest of ussuffer in the cold. One of the first Irishman to enter a TasarWorlds and also a bit of an unknown entity.
