以下の場所に、NATA Newsletterの最新号がアップされました。

参考に、内容を紹介します。

下の方に、"Tasar World Council Meeting 2013 Report and the future of the Tasar Class"
という記事があります。
これによると、ゴージのテーザーカウンシルを受けて、
昨年の秋にNATAでテーザークラスの将来についてメンバーに聞

いたそうです。
結果は、
Option A : No carbon rig but alter fittings on the hull to reduce costs: 86.7%
Option B: - New Carbon Mast – same sails :  0.0%
Option C: - New Mast and New Sails 6.7%
Option D:- No changes  6.7%

主にコストの問題から、カーボンマストは受け入れられないとのこと。
ビルダーは新艇が売れなくて面白くないだろうが、古いボートが良い状態なのに
新しいのは不要、今の時点での変更はクラスのためにならない、という意見を
WTCへ送ったそうです。

From the builders standpoint the class is not doing well because
they are not selling any new boats. Why get a new boat when
an older boat is just as good (or better)?  Keep it simple,
changing the equipment at this time will not help the class.
NATA has sent a clear message to the World Tasar Council WTC, thank you.

この次に、これからのNATAの取り組みが書かれています。
SeattleとVancouverにデモボートを１艇ずつ持って、

US College Sailorsや experienced Sailors in other fleetsの取り込みを図り
同時に、各フリートで新しいセーラーがテーザーに接する機会を増やす、
という取り組みをしよう、とのこと。
